FREC 3 Course

The First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) is a nationally recognised and regulated qualification that is ideal for individuals who are interested in working or volunteering as a first responder.

The FREC 3 course provides individuals with advanced knowledge and skills in prehospital emergency care, covering a wide range of topics including trauma management, medical emergencies, and casualty evacuation.

What is a First Responder?

First responders, who are usually the initial personnel to arrive at an emergency scene, commonly comprise of police officers, firefighters, and medical personnel present at events and festivals, such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives, and Security Guards. Additionally, individuals working in high-risk settings such as the military, power stations, agriculture, and manufacturing may also be considered as first responders.

What does the FREC 3 Course cover?

AT JWC First Aid, the First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) is a comprehensive and practical 5-day course that satisfies the competencies specified in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D. It equips participants with the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to manage a range of prehospital emergency care situations, including the administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses, and other relevant topics.
