In the context of workplace safety, first aiders play a crucial role. As per the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, it is mandatory for employers to ensure that their employees receive prompt medical attention in case of an injury or sudden illness at work. This obligation extends to appointing an adequate number of first aiders and providing them with suitable first aid training to handle emergencies effectively. Therefore, having trained first aiders in the workplace is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
During our JWC First Aid Courses, learners will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to handle various first aid scenarios. These include assessing the situation, managing an unresponsive person, performing CPR, dealing with heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis, and other related emergencies.
The First Aid at Work certification is an officially regulated and HSE approved qualification that caters to individuals designated to function as first aiders in their workplace. This certification is also suitable for those who are responsible for providing first aid services in voluntary and community activities.
